Frequently asked questions

If your question isn't here, write to .

Do I need an account?

No. Meteo Wave has no sign-up and no login. It shows a forecast from your location, or from any city you search by name.

Where does the weather data come from?

The forecast, air quality and city search are powered by Open-Meteo. We don't produce forecasts ourselves — we send a location to Open-Meteo and present what comes back. Map and location services come from your platform (Apple or Google).

Do you track my location or store it?

Location is the one permission the app really needs, and you can decline it — searching a city by name works without it. When you do use it, your coordinates are sent to fetch a forecast, but we do not keep them. The full, per-platform detail is in our Privacy Policy.

How many days and cities do I get?

The free app includes current conditions, the full 24-hour hourly forecast, several days of the daily outlook, four-day air quality, and up to three saved cities. Premium extends the daily forecast to a full fourteen days and raises the limit to twenty cities. Exact free-tier day counts differ slightly between iPhone and Android.

What does premium include?

Premium unlocks the full fourteen-day daily forecast, up to twenty saved cities, a faster refresh, and it removes the ads. Buying any paid tier removes ads.

How do I remove the ads?

Upgrade to any premium tier — monthly, yearly, or the one-time lifetime purchase. Ads are removed as soon as the purchase is active.

How do I manage, cancel or restore a subscription?

Subscriptions are billed and managed by the store, not by us:

  • iPhone & iPad — manage or cancel in your Apple account under Subscriptions.
  • Android — manage or cancel under Subscriptions in the Google Play Store.

Changed phones or reinstalled the app? Use Restore Purchases in the app to bring a previous purchase back. We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf — those are handled by Apple or Google.

Why do the two apps look a little different?

The iPhone and Android apps are built natively for each platform, so a few details — the exact number of free forecast days, the available languages — differ. The core experience is the same.

Which languages are supported?

The Android app ships in fifteen languages and the iPhone app in five. The interface is presented left-to-right.

How do I delete my data?

Email and we'll handle it. What we hold is limited and described in the Privacy Policy; deletion is confirmed within 30 days.

Is there a weather assistant?

It's in development — a feature that explains the day in plain language instead of numbers. It isn't shipped yet.
